Midweek Update
It’s been a few days since my last update on the progress of the Fantasy Uprising Retro 2025 BBS, so here’s a quick recap.
I’ll admit, progress has been slow over the past couple of weeks. With the start of a new semester, balancing 40+ hours of work each week, three graduate-level classes, and a never-ending honey-do list, finding time for this project has been a challenge.
That said, I’ve managed to make some progress—maybe not as much as I’d hoped, but every step forward counts. A major hurdle has been getting the Python code to work seamlessly over a Telnet connection embedded within this site. This has proven to be more time-consuming than expected, but I’m confident that once it’s running smoothly, I’ll be able to open the project up for Alpha testing to anyone interested in giving it a try.
Unfortunately, my lunch break is over, and it’s time to get back to work. For those in the South, I hope you’re staying warm during this unusually frigid weather! Speaking of which, I woke up to 5 inches of snow here in Southeast Texas—hard to believe, right?
Happy computing!
