Sunday Night
🚀 A Night of Coding Success!
Wow! Tonight was a huge success in coding. For some reason, I went off on a tangent (as one does) and started writing a Python-based door game for the BBS. But this wasn’t just any game—I decided to start incorporating concepts from my Master’s program into the BBS project.
That led me to create a new API-powered Dungeon Master, designed to bring battles, conversational AI, and interactive items to life. Right now, you can walk around and interact with the world—think of it like an old-school Zork-style adventure. But I’m not stopping there.
Tomorrow, after class, I plan to fine-tune my own LLM (Large Language Model) to make it a true Dungeon Master, capable of delivering more dynamic and immersive storytelling. That’s the next step in this exciting journey. 🎭🎲
🔧 What’s Next?
Beyond the AI Dungeon Master, we’re gearing up for testing. By the end of the week, I’ll be adding a new tab to the site—likely called “Retro-BBS”—where you’ll be able to log in.
For now, if you want access, you’ll need to create a new user. Once you do, I’ll get a notification and manually validate your account.
🖥️ Server Woes & Upgrades
In other news, my main Linux server started making an ominous grinding noise on Thursday (never a good sign). So, for now, I’ve switched to a backup machine, but I’ve already ordered a brand-new server, which should arrive early next week!
🎉 So Much Excitement Ahead!
Between the AI Dungeon Master project, the Retro-BBS login rollout, and the server upgrade, things are moving fast! Looking forward to sharing more updates soon.
Happy Computing!
