Progress Update on the BBS Project
With all my homework wrapped up for the week, I dedicated a couple of hours tonight to working on the BBS, and I’m thrilled with the progress I’ve made transitioning everything to use WebSockets. If all goes well, I’m hoping to share some screenshots with you all by tomorrow night.
So far, I’ve completed all the login scripts using the WebSocket-based Telnet server, wrapped up the new user questionnaire, and am now working on the main menu. Since everything is database-driven via PostgreSQL, there haven’t been too many queries to update. The focus has been more on making the necessary changes, spinning up the WebSocket/Telnet server, and thoroughly testing to ensure the user flow remains seamless.
Looking ahead, tomorrow is shaping up to be a sunny day here in Southeast Texas, and I’ve got a long to-do list for the yard. I’ll be getting the garden prepped for spring planting, but as soon as the sun sets, I’ll be diving back into coding.
Until then, happy computing!
