Time Flies When You’re Busy!
It’s amazing how quickly time flies when you’re juggling a never-ending list of honey-do items, school, and work. I know it’s been a couple of weeks since my last update on the Retro BBS, but rest assured, progress is being made! I’m down to just a few final tasks before opening the BBS up for Alpha testing.
I’ll admit—I got a little sidetracked while working on the first door game. The dungeon crawl game is turning out to be a beast (in the best way possible), and fine-tuning the LLM to act as its own Dungeon Master has been consuming a lot of my time. The goal is to create multiple playable campaigns where users can save progress, making for an immersive experience. On top of that, this AI-driven DM is a key part of my final project for school, so getting it right is crucial.
Beyond that, I finally got my new computer in, and let me tell you—no more reboots, no BSOD, and no random lockups. With a rock-solid machine, I can now focus entirely on finishing up the Retro BBS.
The new Linux server is also up and running smoothly, ready to host the Retro BBS once it’s time to let it fly.
For now, I’m going to squeeze in a few solid hours of coding before the day is over.
Happy Computing!
Babble Baz!! 🚀
